Magnetic Cylinder Sensor

  • The air source pushes the piston to the side of the cylinder.

  • When the piston inside the cylinder comes near the magnetic sensors for cylinders, they sense the magnetic field on the piston.

  • The magnetic cylinder reed switch sends a positioning signal to the PLC in the equipment.

  • PLC controls the reversing of the air source, and the piston moves to the other side of the cylinder to form reciprocating work.

With a magnet, a magnetic switch can be configured to determine the position of the piston or do other linkage control. After the switch senses the cylinder piston, the microcomputer executes the next command.
